LOCKED
OUT
Keys locked in the car? We'll get you back in. Bro's Tows runs 24/7 vehicle lockout service across Blaine Lake, Saskatoon, and central Saskatchewan — including the grid roads and rural approaches where city locksmiths won't go. No damage, no membership, flat quote before we roll.
LOCKOUTS WE GET EVERY WEEK
Lockout calls spike hard once it gets cold — auto-locking doors and warming up a running vehicle are a bad combination. Here's what we actually get called for across central Saskatchewan.
The classic Saskatchewan winter lockout. You leave it running to warm up, the doors auto-lock, and now there's a running truck you can't get into. This is our most common lockout call from November through March, and it's the one we treat as urgent — a running vehicle burns fuel and a running vehicle in a parking lot is a theft risk.
Shut the door, saw the keys sitting in the cupholder. Nothing broken, nothing lost — you just need the door open. Usually the fastest job we do.
No neighbours, no locksmith for an hour, no cell signal to speak of. We run rural central Saskatchewan every day — grid roads, field approaches, lake access roads. This is exactly where a city locksmith won't come and we will.
Cold makes metal brittle and old keys snap in the cylinder. We can usually get the door open, but a snapped key means you'll need a locksmith or dealer for a replacement — we'll tell you that up front instead of charging you to find out.
If the keys are genuinely gone, opening the door doesn't get you home. We'll open it so you can grab your wallet, phone, or a child's car seat — then tow the vehicle to your house or a shop while you sort out a replacement key.
HOW WE OPEN IT WITHOUT DAMAGE
The reason people hesitate to call is they picture a coat hanger and a scratched door. That's not how this works anymore.
Professional inflatable wedges create a small gap at the top of the door frame, and a coated long-reach tool goes in to hit the unlock button or pull the handle. No prying against the paint, no coat hangers.
Newer vehicles have side-curtain airbags in the door pillars and sensors in the frame. Our operators know which vehicles need a different entry point so nothing gets triggered or torn.
At -35 door seals get rigid and glass gets brittle — the same wedge pressure that's fine in July can crack a window in January. We warm and work slower in deep cold. It takes a few more minutes and it costs you nothing extra.
If the vehicle has a deadlocked security system, or the key is genuinely lost and you need a new one cut and programmed, that's a locksmith or dealer job. We'll say so on the phone before we drive out.
Child or pet locked inside? Call 911 first. Emergency services can force entry immediately. In a Saskatchewan cold snap or a hot July parking lot, do not wait for a tow truck.
CALL US, OR CALL A LOCKSMITH?
We're not going to take a job that isn't ours. Here's the honest breakdown — or just call us and we'll tell you on the phone. Pricing is on our Saskatchewan towing rates page.
Note: SGI's basic plate insurance doesn't cover lockouts. See what SGI does and doesn't cover. If the vehicle won't start once you're back inside, that's a battery boost.
